I have been trying to lose weight myself.  It's only been about a month and 1/2 now.  But, I have already lost a few inches around my middle.  Going to start an exercise routine after the holidays as my schedule is just too crazy right now.

Anyway, I just got finished watching "Fatso" again, which is just a terrific movie!  Dom Deluise's performance is both hilarious and heartwarming.  If you've never had the pleasure of seeing this little masterpiece I would encourage you to do so. t^

Here's one of the classic moments from the film, when members of his support group "Chubby Checkers" arrive to help him through a difficult time:

Saw the doctor today.  I lost almost 30 lbs in about 10 weeks.  I've still got a long way to go, but it's a good start. t^

Will be getting a bike for myself this year.  Then all three of us will have one and we can ride together.  Running is definitely out for me. thud ;D

Burned all the firewood stored in the garage for those foul weather days and emptied the rack out on the patio.
Now I have to go 100 feet to the backyard main wood pile, through a foot or more of varied compacts of snow to restock.
I need to get fit or move the pile next year.
Sled or no sled this sucks.
But I guess it gives my fat ass some bit of a work out. ;D

Thanks for the words of advise Skip.

I did take it easy. I had a beer between each trip. rofla

But on a serious note your right. It's scary to think that this 52 year old body still has the mind of a 18 year old kid.
It might be time to study the ways of Jack La lane RIP... t^ t^

Now that Spring is here and I struggled through the winter or the Nordic Track. I have been searching craig's list for a decent bike since I just about destroyed the bearings in my old garbage picked moutain bike after a ride on some hills. fcp Since then the ole girl was a bit embarrising to ride  rgmn after searching for a few weeks I finally came up with a nice Trek in my size frame. Funny how we always get a edcation when we start a new hobby, Now on the better bike you go by frame size.  cfzd  nosmly
WOW what a difference in the ride  t^
