Headed out for another day on the Blackfish grounds... Suzanne, Dave, River Rat Jim, Party Arty, Shelly and the BIRTHDAY BOY Ryan Scubanut rounded out todays crew!!!
Started off where we left off the other day... started slow with a Picky scratchy bite... we built some life and got a Pick going... some keepers but lots of shorts today... would get a good flurry... box a few keepers and then they would back off... made a few shifts and each time we did we put a few more in da box.
Action died so we made a move and had more of the same type bite... the crew worked hard for em today but we picked away until we had a boat limit!!!
Took us the whole day picking and plucking to box up a limit so we didnt anticipate jigging on the way in as it was late already.
Capt Freddy let me know they ended the day with some bass in the area we got them on tues.
On the ride home i seen the birds diving all over and i just couldnt pass it up even though we already had a limit of tog and it was late in the day.
Stopped the boat and we had 3 Short bass and some Blues... went back to try one more drift.
NEXT DRIFT WAS ALL BASS!!! landed 15 bass boxing up a limit in one drift!!!!! Along with a bunch of blues we released since they werent wanted!!!
Glad I Stopped!!!!! It made a already good day a great one!!!
Oh and Congrats to Suzanne who just like last year was high hook with the blackfish showing the boys how to do it!!! n Happy Birthday Ryan!!!
By day end we caught 48 Keeper Blackfish to 5 lbs with everyone taking a legal limit... Also got the limit of stripers and had a bunch of Blues!!!!!
