Bass & Blues 11/19
« on: November 20, 2010, 11:21:23 AM »
After a slow stretch of surf fishing this week got an invite to fish with a friend, "Capt Jersey Joe BBQ" on his 23' center console the"BlueSmoke" . We left Manasquan Inlet around noon and headed north. We played around some bunker off Spring Lake but only blues here. Continued north of Shark River and out to deeper water. First drift in 70' on some readings produced my best bass of the fall. It hit a green tail A67 jig. We continued to pick away at bass/blues until around 4PM when we decided we had enough. Blues dominated definitely but we caught 7 bass mixed with them. A plain A67 no tail worked well also after losing my only green 67. Oh yeah, 30#  ;D
