Capt Adam just made a very good speech and now the troops are huddling . Lots of sick stomachs . As it stands now the options all blow and do not  support a healthy fully rebuilt fishery

Motion passed and will be forwarded with some add on for regional approach / alocation. Which will be fast tract.  Giant crap sandwich everybody take a bite. Nobody is sure of how and when to take final action on seabass (looks like march) battery is low so I will try to give a full wrap up in about an hour

Yep it's all over but the crying and going out of business signs getting hung up. I was not good but could of been much worst. Scup (porgy)  really caught all by surprise even the new England party boat guys. Nj was facing a 80 plus percent reduction. Lucky if that is what you can call it .. It will be the same as last year because poundage was added. Fluke will be either a little longer season or a smaller size limit but and a very large but the council and board warned against easing the regs to much do to very strong year classes in 2008 and 2009. It looks by the management plans that fluke are rebuilt and not being over fished but we will never see a 17 or lower size limit and a season longer than 90 days. Nj will vote on coastal equivalency  in a few months and have our final fluke regs. Look for plenty of heated Internet debate on that one. Seabass options all blew. Mfss data was poor am called for Massive reductions. Unless the secretary of commerce steps in( which was not discussed) this ship sinking. I will be adding a wrap later of Personal opinions and reflect on some observations. A big one was that the public was only represented by a small handful of party /charter boat  Capts .most of the day and not one comment was made at the mike by non party boat fisherman

Sounds great but the math will not allow it. On a conservitive side we would need 10 times the present quota.
