Gulp Alive actually works out to be less on a per bait basis if purchased correctly.

Take a look at this site if you'd like & here is a direct link to the Berkley page.

http://www.anglersystems.com/berkleygulp.html

Prices are around $17 for the pint and $32 for the quart.

For the Point Pleasant area guys....

Fisherman Supply has all the gulp and gulp alive for the same price as harly.

I have not invested in the gulp alive as of yet, but looking at this from a business prospective, it does pay to buy the alive over the bag...
now me personally, once the gulp is used, i would throw my real baits in the gulp alive juice and let it soak... just something to think about.

I also am a big fan of using natural baits, especially when it comes to winter flounder. I have had more sucess on gulp mullet this year then real baits... it is putting fish in the boat and at a decent clip...

Hi Bucktail,

I semi-corrected the "Robert's" to "D ick's" words.

I learned the quick workaround because the profanity filters took away my favorite word,
b alls.

Thanks,

Capt. Ed

Just an FYI Gulp Quarts on sale this week for $29.95, basically $10 off retail.

Welcome Aboard nzajoe,

Just noticed it was your first post.  I use Gulp sometimes.  I still rather use the real thing off the surf.  I have tried using several types but in a head to head contest right now at least the naturals seem to be out doing the artificial baits

Except the plugs and metals of course.

Happy to have you aboard and,,,

Happy Catching

Dude, KILLED with them this year (and previous).

I use the chartreuse and pink 4" swimming minnow with just about everything (live and dead) spearing, killies and even live peanuts and strips of fish.

LOTS of success with the 4" new penny Shrimp, especially on my teaser hook in the back bay, especially early on.
Fishinfool caught the 1st fish on our boat (19" fluke) on it.

My biggest of the year (6lb) was caught on a nub of pink with spearing this past season.

I have caught sea bass on the shrimp and even swimming minnow with a killie off of Monmouth beach. Weakfish on the sandworms and shrimp.

Sand eels should work well too if they are around again this season.

LOVE the stuff and won't fish without at least trying some that day!

Hunter, What Mike says about this stuff is true.
I went into last season not knowing much about this stuff. I finished the season a true believer. I was out fished  many times last year on my own boat by guys useing Gulp. I finished the year tring it on the wrecks for Seabass. IT WORKS

I second the chartreuse and pink 4" swimming minnow for fluke. I hear the are good for seabass too, but haven't tried yet.

Har-Lee Rod in Jersey has the buckets of GULP that are $5 cheaper than any other place I've seen.

I believe they're selling bigger bucket for $34.99. Most places I've seen have them at $39.99

I swear by the stuff also.  4" swimming minnow and mullet, KILLER... One day with Mboy and Younggull, the seabass were killing them also..

I tried the sand eel thinking they look great, no success with them.. Not sure why..
