My Friend John (aka Broheim) picked me up at 4:30 am Sat.
1st stop DD for Coffee.
John got us to Pt Pleasant in no time.
We arrived at 5:30 am.
Met Capt Derek & Mate John and 4 other guys for a non sponsor open boat tog trip.
Dock lines off at 6:30 am and Derek took us to a spot about an hr from the inlet.
Derek & John set out 2 anchors and within minutes I had the 1st Keeper Tog
As fast as it started we only picked at them.
The tog bite was very scratchy !
Capt Derek said guys the last few trips the bite has been like this so we will wait it out.We waited it out but it was only a pick.Derek made a few moves and those spots were a pick as well.
We had 18 Keepers for 6 guys.
Even though the catching was tough we all had a blast
Derek it was great fishing with you & you gained a new customer.
Mate John your Aces in my book & I still can't believe I know your dad !
