R.I.P. Capt Vic....
« on: April 10, 2011, 09:45:57 AM »
As Art stated at the NJSWF Dinner last night (thanx guys for letting him ask for a moment of silence for our friend)... today marks the 3rd Aniversary of Capt Victor Medina's passing.....

As evident here and on other sites MANY people miss him and will do so till they leave the planet themselves, I being one of those..... :'(

Vic was a Lunatic when it came to fishing, and it didn't matter what the target species was, he ALWAYS went ALL OUT....

He was TRUE to his friends ALWAYS .... And from my experience would be at your side to help with whatever at the drop of a hat.....  t^

The main thing I take from his passing is.... Always communicate with friends, family and loved ones.... ya NEVER know what is going on in ones head... Depression and Stress are huge and can become overwhelming no matter what you own or have in life..... I truely believe to this day if i could have talked to him that fatefull morning 3 years ago, we would be on the bay today Bass fishing and laughing our BALLS OFF.....

So once again Victor.... Hope and Pray that you are at ease now.... Hope you can see as you look down how many people miss you today and always... Know that your son is growing up fast, looks exactly like you, that your sis is doing a fabulous job loving him, and that when the time comes he will be on the TnT laughing with us and yelling ONE ON....

PEACE my FRIEND.... WE SHALL MEET AGAIN....

I got to know Captain Vic very well even outside the fishing community. It started with the birth of his son and my daughter 3 days apart. When I saw the post from Bobber on that fatal day, I couldn't believe it since I talked to him around 9 pm the night before. He sounded very positive and planned on getting his life back on track.  I guess you just never know. RIP my good friend

I didn't know him, but I see his picture everytime I'm at my local bait shop. The last two pictures that the broken one posted were taken at and  are still hanging at my local b&t. That is one nice fish. RIP.
