Canyon Reels - Jigging and Trolling Reels
« on: April 21, 2011, 04:45:43 PM »
NJSW Tackle is now an Authorized Dealer of Canyon Reels.
We seen the HS-15 at the Banquet, a great reel for Bottom fishing to Tuna Jigging. A lot of Captains here use them.   t^   Not cheap..  But well made and some say better than the Avet and their competitors t^
There is a Min price that we can sell these for. So I added Free Shipping on orders over $200.00 t^

The 15 is Smaller than say the lx Avet and will out perform it.. like a champ for Inshore Blue Fin t^ The HS-15 HIGH SPEED JIGGING REELS have a 6:1 gear ratio, 25lbs+ of drag power, More than the LX Don't let the size fool you.  These will be going on the Rods I got from rich t^

I for one like the lighter tackle fishing. ask yourself this.  do you want to Fight the Fish.. or just crank him in  t^

Just got mine off him the other day. Undecided though :headscra:
I like both. Good thing is I have to wait a week or 2 anyway. Have to get the boat painted, done and in by next week

The 15 is good for Schooling size blue fin. say up to 60 Lbs..   Many large Blue fin have been caught on them. But I probably wouldn't want to catch too many on a 12 OZ reel.  So I think I would go with the 30.  But The 15 is an all around great reel from Surf, Bottom and Jigging t^

I will put a set on the Jigging rods for jigging bass and If I'm inshore Blue Fin Jigging.  I'll use them for that also t^

I have done my research t^

have the HS-15'S on my boat....very good inshore reel for all of our favorites...Stripers, Blues,Fluke,Sea Bass and Bottom(all bottom species)
very light reel that packs a punch when some drag is needed...smooth casting and the golfball handle fits like a glove when cranking on a fish.
love them so far....and the cust service on them is so far second to none....any questions are answered quickly concerning the reels. im looking forward to putting them to the test on some tunas and mahi this year!

 t^ That's it Paul-e
I put mine on a Trevala TVC66M

can't wait to try it on Sunday.

If you don't like the purple reel, pick up a black one and make two black and purple reels. That will look cool.

Great looking reels!!

I like the fact that you can spec out any color combination to really personalize it t^  Didn't know you could do that...

You guys talking about the reel handles or the rods being custom.
I thought the Shimano Trevala was a stock rod ?
