Good Friday Bass
« on: April 22, 2011, 06:51:26 PM »
Went out on my buddy's boat (KPCOE) first light  out of Sayreville and passed by tons of gannets diving after the bridges, went threw a few groups with no marks so went of to an area that was producing the last few days.  Thank you , , you know who.  ;) ;)  Set up in 9-12 foot of water and started chumming clams. By twelve we had 2 skinny keepers and a few shorts. Started to troll on the beginning of slack and with in 40 minutes had 4 more fat keepers and a couple more throw backs.

That was it for us for the day. It died just like that. We ran back in towards the river and saw more birds and marks and tried to troll some more but nothing was biting.

First trip for me this year and it was sweet. A little rough and windy all day but when that sun poked out for a bit it was nice.  kevin has all the pics.  I hope the tail gate fillet work doesn't look too bad.
