My son & I were 2 of 11 fares aboard the Misty Morn out of Morgan Creek this past Saturday.
First drop off Keansburg was a bust even though we marked a decent amount of bait & fish as we pulled in.
Steamed east and dropped on the southwest corner of the Knoll. Had action in less than 10 minutes. Stayed on this spot until the bite died about 12:45. By the time we left, I caught 6 out of 7 bites I had (good for high hook) with 5 being keeper size (only kept my limit) and my son decked four (3 keeper size, again only keeping his limit-he also had big fish honors).
Made a final stop on the Port Monmouth flats where 2 more bass were taken.
By the end of the day, all aboard had their limits.
