Headed out for another day to hopefully Jig some bass... Bruce, Pops, Chris , Dave, Wilson and Ralphy rounded out the crew.
Was hoping since the weekend traffic was over and there less boats the bass would pop up like before the weekend. Not the case... as much i would like to say it was good... fishing ocean side was terrible for us yesterday...
We worked our way up up to the rocks, north of reef up to the channels and unlike previous trips we had only a few reads... tried Jigging, trolling and clammed behind some clammers where we had some the other day but to no avail.
Finally went bottom fishing at lunch time... picked 25 big Ling,a keeper cod and threw back some nice blackfish and short cod. Looked for life the whole way home and didnt see any.
Wish it was better for the guys... burnt alot of fuel and busted our ass but it just wasnt our day... Thats fishing...Good reports with the bad. Feast or famine with the jigging this time of the year sometimes.
The crew was great they handled it better than me and my lungs (4 pack day)
Heard of a few fish around today so that is a good sign
Will be back at it Tomorrow and everyday for the rest of the month or bass or bottom fishing until we start bunker fishing.
