Trying to hit the beach in the morning...
« on: May 10, 2011, 10:33:45 PM »
Anyone else going to be out there?  I have been taking people out and now tomorrow is my turn just to have some fun and relax.  I am listening to my favorite Hawaiian songs on Pandora and have the urge to get out.

I will be starting at Gillikins and work south.  Hitting as many holes as I can.

Happy Catching

Paul

Nice.  There are some reports of blues down this way.  I hope something begins to come together.  I am looking to try plugging soon as I just made up some rigs with teaser dropper loops.  I am so ready.

Yeah I just might pick up a bunker or two.  I love using mullet on a rig I modified and the hit ratio went up drastically.  Instead of using the wire rig with the float I cut a piece of leader to about 18 inches long snelled on a 3/0 circle hook with a loop tied with a Palomar knot.

I made a needle with a small loop on one end about 8" long.  I pass it through the mullets mouth and out the anal cavity.  Pull the leader through and imbed the hook near the tail and snap the whole thing to a fishfinder rig via a fast clip.  It works fantastic, at least last year it ded.  Can't wait to try it this year again.

Happy Catching.

I'll be out tomorrow.  Heading to Monmouth Co right from work at 7am.  If there's nothing going on there, I may head out to the park.

I don't know how the waves will be tomorrow.  I hope it gets knocked down a bit I hate throwing heavy weights.  I will be trying some good producing holes.  I am hoping to get my uncle onto a fish.  He has not connected with a striper yet.  Hoping tomorrow will be the charm.
