You DO need to register if you are registered in NJ but may "drift over the line" in RB. My legal papers folder on YSA is overflowing...



10. I am licensed/registered in another state. Can I fish in New York's waters without registering?

•New Jersey residents: No. New Jersey residents must enroll in New York's registry in order to fish in New York's waters.

IDK...could be wrong knowing my source, but was told you do have to register... and if you paid the 15 bucks ya have to apply for the refund ?

3. Do I need to register if I have already purchased a recreational marine fishing license?

Anglers that have already purchased one of the following licenses do not need to register for the 2011 fishing year:

•a 2011 resident or non-resident 1-day, 7-day, or annual recreational marine fishing license, or
•a lifetime recreational marine fishing license or lifetime combination recreational marine/freshwater fishing license in 2011 or in a previous year.
Please remember to hold on to and carry your license with you while angling as proof of registry for the 2011 fishing year.

I saw the same thing on the NY registry site. I registered (free) just in case I head up that way and forget to stop on my spots.
