Had Paul Lukas's Charter aboard along with a fun crew of family and friends for a day on the Seabass grounds.
Headed back to the bottom grounds... Started off power drifting hoping around to find what had the most life... started off mostly shorts... but found a chunk that had some real nice keepers up to 3lbs + picked up couple dozen and a few cod from here.
Bounced around a Bunch of spots some were again barren others loaded with life although heavy on the shorts alot of the keepers were in the 2-3lb+ range.
When we first got anchored the little ones would come first but after waiting a few min it would give up a blast of nice keepers.
Good for most the day!!! Bounced around putting a nice cooler together along the way!!! Fair amount of cod and blackfish around to spice up the action.
Was on our way in when i seen some birds crashing on top... took a look and it was stripers exploding on the surface... they were moving fast but in true monger fashion we couldnt pass it up an put in the over time chasing them down.
We didnt have bunker but they were so aggressive we were able to catch them on crocs... Readings were insane (pic attached) Boxed up 7 big bass over 20 lbs with the biggest going 30lbs.
Great way to make a good day even better!!!
By days end the guys boxed 93 Keeper Seabass to 3 1/2 Lbs, 4 Keeper Cod, 3 Ling and the big bonus 7 keeper Stripers to 30lbs!!!
Another Great day on the water!!!
Thanks again guys!!!
Big bass around and seabass only going to cont to improve!!! Nows the time to get out fishing!!!
