Bow Pulpit Rail Custom Light Mount
« on: July 01, 2011, 04:36:36 PM »
Mounting A Light On Your Bow Rail Pulpit.

Materials
(1) Portable Go Light with remote.
(1) 3/8" pc of Starboard ( Wife's Double Sink Cover )
(4) Taco SS Bimini Top Hinge Brackets

I measured the inside of the Bow Rail Pulpit.
It tapered from 10" to 10.5" in 8 Inches.

The rest is self explanatory..

This way I can remove the light when not in use.  Since I don't run a lot at night...  and get it in front of the Bow Rail to stop the Glare Back.

Will be installed Saturday. I'll add a couple more images.

Looks real good Rod.  Just in case you do get some glare use a little flat black spray up front on the railing.

To eliminate glare from the rail get water pipe insulation tube and put it over the rail before you depart. When you don't need it anymore it is easily removable and storable until the next time you need it.  t^
