Fishguts 7/7 wreck trip
« on: July 07, 2011, 07:52:54 PM »
Today I had Stan and his wonderful wife Kim out for an inshore wreck trip. This was only the 2nd time both of them were on the ocean and they handled the marginal conditions very well. I am not sure why but we had 8 to 10 more MPH of wind all day long than the boats fishing to our North. Great action all day long but they had to work for the keepers.  They even hung in there after a few bouts of maldemare. By the time we headed to bay to try some fluking they had what they had come for.......a nice box of fish. A few short drifts in the bay produced a dozen short fluke for some added fun. Todays totals for the 2 new saltwater anglers were 41 keeper seabass,6 fat ling and one silver eel for the smoker. Another fun day with some awesome people.

Fishing, with me, has always been an excuse to drink in the daytime.
