Left Keyport around 7 am today started with a slow moving outgoing tide followed by a lenghty slack tide keepers were extremely hard to come by.
started the day around keansburg after hearing some promising reports.... upon arrival inconsistant shorts were the catch
headed over to the ammo pier with the fleet more shorts and skates....wife picked up one keeper at 20"
then ran out front in search of deep water...finally the bite picked up around the incoming tide finally giving some drift...
all & all lots of running lots of fuel lots of shorts... fished the full day though and snuck back under the bridge with about 3-4 " of clearance from the rocket launcher
ending total 20-25 fluke.... 3 keepers for the box
EXTRA Large silversides were the bait of the day 4" to 6" inches
