Was supposed to have Paul Lukas and Crew charter today who are always a Blast... but with the strong ne wind in the morning and the distance we been fishing we opted to pass. Told them to hop on a A.h. boat and was happy when i received the text in the afternoon that pops won the pool on the boat they went on!!!
Got some maintenance day on the boat.
At around 330 in afternoon Decided to take my father and little 4yo Dev in the river for an hour being we never have the time to get them out.
Stopped 2 min from the dock just west of 35 bridge. My Dad and Dev both put down a rod with a Bucktail and Both bent over with 19 in keepers!!!!! Go figure!!! Did one more drift and Little Dev caught another keeper at 20 in all by himself though he was more impressed with the startfish he snagged Bout another dozen or so shorts and we called it a day.
Stayed out for about an hour in total and was only a few min from the dock but seeing Dev parade his 2 keepers around the dock showing everyone was priceless.
Awesome afternoon with the family.
