Looking for some prop info
« on: July 22, 2011, 04:56:47 AM »
I want to change the prop on my boat and I am looking for some input.
The engine has the original prop on it and the boat works well. I get on top of the water good with two people and a full tank of fuel. Top speed on good water I can hit around 35 mph. Once I add a third or fourth person it’s starts getting harder to get on top.

My question is, how much better will It get up on plain if I keep the same pitch and just get a stainless prop or should I lower the pitch 2”.
Or lower 2” and get it in stainless?

3 or 4 blade?

Any thoughts?

Thanks
Rick

Fishing Sandy Hook and anywhere I can get on a boat.

My biggest fear is when I die my wife sells all of my fishing tackle for what she thinks I paid for it!
