« on: August 02, 2011, 10:55:03 PM »
Hi again another question. Please tell me of good tackle shops around. I have been going to Dick's but feel like I am missing something. I live in central jersey. Thanks again.

wow there lots around and i wont single out any one...What i will say is you seem to be new to fishin? or this area?you have a few posts asking alot of questions which is great!but kinda hard for me to give it to you all in each one bro! so the best i can do for you is this...I live in middletown township in central jersey, there are many places to fish from surf, boat to piers and docks.

From keyport to highlands, there are many docks, keport, union beach, leanardo, atl.highlands, highlands and redbank.

If your lookin for a charter/party boat, keyport and atl.highlands have some of the best captains around. There are great captains all the way down to cape may! you said central jer. tho!

as for the tackle shops there pretty much along the highways on the way to the fishing spots if not at the fishin spots, stop at a few of them there all great and will help you out any way they can!
i cant give u any surf spots as i dont fish from land just boats.

Hope this helps you out. Happy fishing and good luck.

If you're in the Belmar area, there is Mack's.  Right over the shark river route 35 bridge heading north.  Right next to Stumpy's-- GREAT Prices.  Cheapest Around...

Fishermen's Supply in Point Pleasant...need I say more!

great selection however maybe it's just me but I feel like they look at me and act like I'm some kind of schmuck unless I'm dropping some coin.
--------- on the other hand has the friendliest most helpful people behind the counter everytime I've been in there. Not the biggest selection(it's a small shop) but by far the best personalities and my vote for the store I most want to see do well. (in his geographic area)
