I heard through the Grapevine through a freind of mine, that there starting to catch 10-12 LB fluke there? Hmmmmm... is this true ?

Fish On
Give a man a fish, and he can eat for a day. But teach a man how to fish, and he'll be dead of mercury poisoning inside of three years.

Hi Fishon,

Every year like clockwork.

It is not a rumor! It is the "Fluke Superhighway ..."

Many August Fluke tournaments are won with fish out of there. Be careful as it is, for the most part, in New York waters.

Also, if you plan to fish the channel, please get out of the way of the ships so we don't have to have the US Coast Guard all over us again ...

Hi Mark,

Like I mentioned to you last weekend you can fish the drop offs of the channels but stay clear of drifting in them.  Thats a no no.  TT^

Stay to the high sides and cast onto the drop off and work it up the sides, works great.

Happy Catching

Paul

Don't forget a BIG NET! Nothing more frustrating then trying to put a 29 to 30 inch by 15 to 16 inches wide flukeasaurus into a net you been easily putting 20 inch fish in. The biggest we have had on our boat was a 9lb fish that went 28 inches (Caught by the Wife) had to use all my netting skills to put that puppy into my standard net TT^
