I will most likely be leaving the phyllis Ann in..  she is sheltered.  We are expecting 5 feet of water in our marine.  in that case.. the dock will float off her moorings @ about 4 feet.  but 3 feet will float every boat that was taken out and on land.

I just got back and removed everything I could.

Don't worry Eddie, when the docks float up over the pilings I will use Ya Sista's A$$ as a tugboat to dock the dock to the dock. Then after tying the dock off, I will motor her up Amboy Ave. to Wendy's for a frosty and double. And maybe a soda...

Take every precaution you can to protect your craft. If you can pull it out that's best, if your going to leave it in make sure your bilge is working and your batteries are up. I lost a boat in a nor'easter a few years back and if I could have a do over I would have pulled her out.

Exactly Frank.  And the stuff that's going to wind up hitting your house or car is the stuff your neighbor didn't feel the need to put in the house or tie it down somehow.

Taking a boat out and putting it 5 feet higher than it was sitting in the water doesn't make sense to me.

change of heart- with Wagner's parking lot flooding on a normal day, the thought of swimming thru it numerous times to get to/from Ya Sista's A$$, not to mention getting there and back from home, losing 3-4 hrs on each side of 3 high tides on helm watch, etc. etc. decided it's just not worth it.

pulled her out, got my frosty and double, saved about $50 fueling her up on land as opposed to the marina, and spent it all on booze.

c'mon over, we're havin' a hurricane party...

If I had a trailer I would have pulled mine also and brought her home.  but being the the 25 Parker.  that's not...that easy.

My trailer paid for itself the second winter I took YSA home instead of paying storage at the marina. It's all gravy now, not to mention I can do what I want when I want with the boat.
