The park is closed today.  I just called the office.  They said they plan on reopening tomorrow.

Hopefully the park didn't take too big of a hit.
I checked out the beach in Ortley today.  Didn't look bad at all.

this was quite amazing .... 500 people on the beach at seaside park yet they wouldn't take my 6 bucks and a note saying i was responsible for my own actions, and do not risk yourself to come save me ....  was discouraging to say the least ....

There is not much beach left at high tide.  It did not damage the dunes but it took a lot of beach.  It will return as the water takes it from the offshore sandbar and dumps it back wave by wave.

If you want to see the 3 access points get onto Betty & Nicks web site they have a couple of videos up that will show the beach from Gillies to the inlet.  The inlet took the biggest hit.  You will be amazed.
