Hi All
« on: August 02, 2007, 09:22:32 PM »
Hi everyone.  My name is Jared and I just wanted to introduce myself and say thanks to all of you who post and share information with everybody.  The information you guys give out is really invaluable especially for someone like me who has only fished for a short time and still has a lot to learn.  I have to say that fisherman are really a great group of people.  Well at least the ones I have had the pleasure of fishing with so far. But I really can't thank you guys enough for taking time and helping out whoever needs it.  Thanks guys and gals.  I will try not to annoy everyone to much.  Good luck to all and I hope to meet some of you in the future.

Welcome to the Site Jared, you've just joined a great helpful group of people, as I was somewhat like you when I found this site. Hope you learn what you need to learn  t^  t^

Hi Jared,

Welcome Aboard.

Are you the one I talked to today at Torpedo Park in So. Toms River?  If you are thanks for hopping on the board.  I have to warn you though this site is addicting, you have to remember to take the time to fish and enjoy the sport.

Welcome Aboard again.

Happy Catching

Paul

Thanks guys.  Hi Paul.  It wasn't me at torpedo park I have never been there, but thanks for the welcome.  I would love to try and win that shirt, but I am leaving for N.C. on Saturday.  I do most of my fishing out of Manasquan.  I try to get down and fish the wall at the inlet.  I don't have much luck, but I am just happy to be fishing.  I have fished in the Barnegat Bay a couple of times, but this time of year I try not to go on the parkway.  Lately I have been trying to fish the Sandy Hook/ Raritan Bay, but everytime I do the weather doesn't cooperate.  Plus time to fish has gotten harder to come by since there has been a new addition to my family.  I picked a bad time to find a new hobby.  Oh well.  Hopefully I will be a better fisherman by the time he is old enough to fish with me.

Hi Jared,

Congratulations on the new born.

Trust me by the time your son grows to the age where he can hold a rod, em, I figure by age of 2 - 3, you will be a master fisherman if you follow this site.

Don't be afraid to ask questions.  No question is to small to answer.

Hey!, I feel your pain, I have a 1 year old daughter and another on the way in january, and I only recently started getting back into fishing.

I don't get many opportunities to go out, but I try to make the most of it when I can, and basically I just like the chance to get out, and if I catch something it's a bonus.

Anyway, when I can't get out, at least I can live off other people's fishing stories here, and pick up tons of good info and tips here. This site has a great group of people- I think you'll find that you've made a good decision signing up. Only problem is, they'll make you want to fish more often (well, maybe a problem for the rest of the family at least  t^ )

Funny thing is that two other friends of mine are due in either late december or early january. Forget the "Summer of love" - the spring was where it was at this year  ;D
