Please forgive me,if i offend any one of you..but here it is from my view...
i was working on the New York Fast Ferry, the high speed ferry the "finest" on Sept.11...I saw the first plane hit, every one of us was stunned..just a crash at that point!! we as a company with customers who we JUST drop off headed over to the drop off site we just left 20 Min's. ago ..
well a few lingering moments later i saw and felt the second plane crash in to the building...from that point on we knew what was going on, we just didn't no how to deal with it as a nation.
The second i had the chance....I RAN to what you all call.. ground Zero now.. not knowing what was instore for not only me but new york and for America herself...Well it Sucked... i was there for 3 days straight.. from day one when the planes hit u all watched it on TV.. as I was running towards the wtc, while many ran away.. i ran towards it.
I watched as people Jumped to their death, instead of melting from the heat. What i saw that day in person will forever be burnt in my thoughts..Think about what you saw... the people on TV on top of the rubble..I'm there with the buckets and all....
There, were NO HERO'S THAT DAY...Just True American's Helping Each other out.. in a once in a lifetime catastrophe...The hero's you all talk about is Ur cousin, uncle, son, daughter who ever... who just happens to be there at that moment, just like I was...and the people who do their jobs like the nypd nyfd and so on .was that day sad...yes... was it their job to fight that fire and guard our space..for sure...did they know what they were signing their name to when they got the job.. Absolutely they did....They Nor am I a hero or ever will be for what we did that day or any other day...We As People, became United and became True Americans..........
