Storms will be moving into the area tonight into tomorrow morning and will bring heavy rains for 6-8 hours followed by rain showers for the following 24-48 hours. They are calling for 3 inches of rain and up to 4 inches in some places locally in those first 6 hours. This will cause flash flooding, small stream flooding, and roadway and basement flooding.
Most larger rivers "may be able" to handle the rainfall, without substantial flooding, but may run high or approach flood stage! For those of you in the areas that were already flooded from the previous storms or in areas prone to flooding, please pay very close attention to your local weather over the next 48-72 hours!
Right now Ocean County and most of Monmouth County are not in the National Weather Service Flood Watch, but we are in the forecasted area of 3+ inches, so take that as you will.
