Hello everyone,

Here is a reminder about the upcoming meeting to discuss the Shark River Coast Guard Station. I am sure you have all heard that the Coast Guard is planning on making the Shark River Station as seasonal station.  Obviously, Rep. Pallone is going to fight against shutting it down to season status because it will result in diminished search and rescue coverage in our district.  This would have adverse affects on recreational and commercial off season fishing and boating.

We need some help getting this info out to the interested groups throughout the district. Can you guys send us some lists of people to invite to the event?  Also please send this information around to your membership.

Regards,

Tim

Hi Capt. Bob,

I guess "meeting season" starts early this year.

Oh boy ... and tomorrow NMFS releases the 2008 Fluke TAL.

Whew,

Ed
