Just received an e-mail from the Captain, he would like to know how many rods we will need.
I see this is going to be a pain to try to keep track of who wants a rod and who doesn’t. So I am going to figure a rod for everyone unless you post that you don’t need one.
Remember you can only use Mono.

Our trip includes rods, bait/tackle & fish cleaning services that are not include if this were an open trip.

Thanks
Rick

I am curious what rod/reels the guys are bringing with them.  Also what tackle should we be bringing with us, Hooks, sinkers, leaders, jigs, rods for smaller fish, etc....  This is my first time on this type of Tuna trip...  Thanks.

Dan that a really good question.
1) Two standup rods with 4/0 60lb Ande
2) Standup with AVET LX with 50lb Ande
3) Custom made (In progress) Seeker GTS 60H with Accuratize Penn Jigmaster with 50Lb Ande.
4) Tsunami Airwave with Avet MLX 30Lb ande
5) Tsunami Airwave with Avet SX 20Lb ande
Remember this is for Jake and Me.

Squid Jigs
10 oz Diamond Jigs
This is where I need help - on the hooks, swivles, jigs.

Took this right off the Sea Devel's website..

ALOT of my usual aresenal will be staying in the rack at home.  ALL of my jigging stuff is loaded with braid.  Reels are too small to switch them over to mono and I wont have the capacity I need on them.

Have a lighter setup for the daybreak longfin bite that wont be coming either, braid on that too.. rgmn...no big deal, is is what it is.

Penn International 50 on a Penn Tuna stick, 80lb mono for sword dropping.

Penn International 30 on a Chaos chunk rod, 60 lb mono for tuna chunking.

Shimano Bairunner 3500 on a 6'6" Ugly stik for mahi.

Trout rod for surface squid.  Penn Jigmaster  on a Tsunami 7' MH rod for mid/deep squid jigging.

20-30-40-50-65 lb fluro
200lb sampo swivels
60lb spro swivels
1oz white spro bucktails
squid jigs
waxwing jigs
6-8-10 oz hammered diamonds (may try jigging w/mono we'll see)
5/0, 6/0,7/0,8/0 owner octo hooks
2/0,3/0,4/0 gami octos
12/0 and 14/0 commercial longline bait hooks
1/2 oz thru 8oz egg sinkers
rubber bands
balloons
light sticks

Im probably forgetting some stuff but this is a start of the list.
