Fishing with popular fresh baits poses many problems. Most significant is that you just can't can't keep the best baits on the hook! For example, all experienced surf fisherman know that using an entire clam for bait is most desirable. It is also impossible to do, even when securing with smelly rubber bands, dental floss, or elastic thread stolen from your wife's sewing kit. As a result, when making the long casts necessary while fishing the surf, the bait is thrown off the hook more often than not. This of course requires reeling the rig back in, re-baiting, and starting the process over again. Crabs and other crustaceans eating the bait are also annoying. BaitBagz solves both problems. Our biodegradable mesh pouches are woven from very strong natural filaments. In fact, you will have to use braid scissors to cut them off your hook. They are tasteless and odorless. They are extremely durable as there are over 500 filaments per bag, each two-thousandths of an inch thick. After the bait is placed inside the pouch, a sharp hook should be threaded across the open end, and if possible, through the bait as well. These bait rigs can then be cast as hard as you desire, without fear of throwing your bait off the hook. Your casts will be considerable longer and the time you spend actually fishing will be increased. Your bait presentation will be the best it can be.

I have some of the bags.. I personalty think they should work well.  Would be nice to get them in the hands of some of our Surf Guys..

I'm waiting for our Black Fish Trip..   If can Stuff on off these puppies with Crab.. and they aren't afraid of it...   Game Over   Now they are VERY Picky Fish... so if they fail in that aspect. I wouldn't call the bag a failure.

Rod, Thank you so much for all of your support and input in the whole process. Jack caught the 50lb'er on my boat.
I had a nice blackfish on sunday with the bags on clam, about 5.5lbs. It puked out a 4" baby lobster on the back of my boat. So I hooked the tail, sent it down, and came up with a ling!

   a little skeptical myself... I can see the surf guys using it as their choices are limited to get the bait out there, unless you have a surf rocket.  When you talk about natural presentation, putting a bag around the bait doesn't seem like it would work.  Where is the scent trail of the bait?

It works best as a casting aid. Since the bag is generally smaller than the bait(so it can hang out), there tends to be no bunching up of the bag.
This single layer of bag, when wet and filled with bait, is virtually invisible.
Almost all of the fish that pick up chunk bait, find the food by scent, more-so than sight. The scent is spread by utilizing all of the soft stuff you can never hook under normal baiting procedures. The stuff you can't hook, is the scent spreading "goodness".
This grizzle gets the fish going.
Now we can get it out to the fish's front door.

I definitely like the idea behind it.  Clams are always a problem from the surf.  Be interesting to see how well it works.

I have nerve problems that limit the functionality of my right hand, and I am a righty. Hockey and stupidity of youth mostly.
It was always tough tying the clam down, especially when it was cold. That coupled with the fact most all of the bits of the clam that got wasted, and they were the best part. The little stuff in the clam that you can't hook is the best part. It is the stuff that flakes away, and attracts fish. This product is a for lack of a better word, a "FISH TEABAG", and I'm telling you guys, it f'n works.

Sounds like a great product, especially when using clam for any type of fishing, be it on the surf or in a boat as it is the juices that attract and typically the parts that hold the juices do not stay on the hook.
