Hunter 2, fishing 11/3/2011
« on: November 03, 2011, 09:10:49 PM »
ftp://Made it from Keyport to the outside of Sandy Hook for the last few drifts of the outgoing tide around 8:20am with the plethora ::) of eels that I secured earlier. Water temp was still around 50 deg, Clear skies and Low tide was around 9am. The wind was not too bad but started picking up later. My brother John and his two buddies were aboard drifting eels. No fish were biting at this time and all the boats around us had the same problem.  fcp      Made a short run a couple miles south and found huge swells rolling in from the east. I had to make a few "A perfect storm" moves to get over the swells and out to safer depths.  ;D
I ran back inside the raritan bay to a few spots and even trolled for awhile but we had no takers at all. VHF chatter was the same story all over. Back at the marina by 1:30pm to finish the day doing something more productive. Heading  back out tommorrow late afternoon. ;)
   Good luck,, Eddie

Nice effort Eddie...

Were the swells just big in the shallows?   offshore better?
