Pulled out of Keyport at 4:30pm with "I forgot how to cast Cashin","My hands are cold Kurt"' and Scott G, aboard. The wind was blowing hard so the plans to fish the hook were cancelled and we turned left and head up the triangle to fish by the bridges. We found much calmer seas and anchored up and started cracking clams and drifting back the slimey snakes. Kurt's cast locks up and we all duck as the eel goes over our heads and slams into the windshield
. Then cashins cast locked up after 20' and the eel kept going for another 50'.
. "that happened a couple more times during the night".. The anchor started slipping in the mucky bottom so we made a few drifts with no luck. We made a move further west and the fish were not interested, Cold hands Kurt managed to spool his reel on a snag,
. That was enough for us of being cold with no action. Back at the marina by 9pm and to the Bluerock for a hot bowl of chili and a cold beverage. Let's hope this wind gives us a break soon. Good luck, Eddie
