After a chain of unfortunate events that left us grounded for a long while now, we felt like we deserved a check in the win column this weekend. Well, we got it big time! Broke the Manasquan Inlet just before 6:00 AM and ran straight down to what has become "the spot" as of late. The bite was great with 26-30" bass on diamond jigs for the first couple of hours, with a few bigger fish in there including one at 34". As the parking lot turned into a game of bumper cars, the bite started to slow and we went on the troll back towards home. That yielded another small bass and one of the bigger blues I've ever run in to.
Total tally for the day was somehwere in the upper teens on the bass with maybe 1/3 of them over the mark, 2 blues, and afew dogfish. Quite a day to say the least... Fall run fishing at its finest!
