Left the marina 30 minutes later than planned and did not make it to the bass grounds (LOL) till 7am. Got 2 keeper bass and lots of shorts. Chased birds south trying to stay ahead of the 50 other boaters who like to ride right into the birds and fish instead of going around to have the fish drift into them. HINT HINT. Finally gave up and ran to the tog spot I have been on the last two trips. Well it was busy there and could not really get on my lump. Got close and put 4-5 in the box. Ran out deeper and got some sea bass and small tog. Ran deeper yet and did the same. Ran back in to where we started and had a nice little tog a thon. Most on clams. Once the sun hid behind the clouds the bite died. 4 of us today with 2 keeper bass and 10 tog total. Nothing big, but nice fat filets for dinner tomm. Looked for some action on the ride in but no birds or marks.
