Andy's Delight is out and winterized
« on: November 28, 2011, 11:13:44 AM »
After a poor fishing trip friday that netted a starfish, spidercrab, and a snail...all on eels I pulled Andy's Delight and winterized her on Saturday.  Besides the Tog trip I now have 4 months of thumb twiddling to look forward to.   rgmn rgmn

Fishing Sandy Hook and anywhere I can get on a boat.

My biggest fear is when I die my wife sells all of my fishing tackle for what she thinks I paid for it!

On the positive side Andy's Delight gave me a good season.  Yes I had to repower her, but that's a hard lesson learned on my part.

Highlights of my season were the fluke season in general, caught alot of nice size keepers throughout, floating 3-4 miles offshore by myself with radio blasted singing and dancing my ass off, taking my son for his first short trip with him steering on my lap, countless trips with my godfather and my fiance, seeing the fireworks from all directions on July 4th, seeing the fireworks in Keyport from the boat with a front row view, the huge Striper that almost was, handling some seriously heavy slop and learning that I can do it, and meeting and fishing with a new friend on the site here.

I learned a ton this season about the water, the area, fishing, boating in general, and even about myself which is what it's all about.

Next year my goals are to apply what I've learned in becoming a better, wiser fisherman and also to do some heavy rewiring on the boat as well.  Can't wait!   t^

Make sure you use marine grade wire.  It's tinned and lasts longer. t^
