Other than stripers what other species are targeted using stretch 25's? Can the be casted for say dolphin, bonito, tuna, etc?

Just about everything. 

Casting from where?  Surf? Aint gonna work.  Boat? it may work, but way too many better options to throw.

Trolling we have used it for everything.  Bass in the Raritan and on the beaches.

In the channels for blues and bass.

Mid range the white/redhead KILLED the bones/albies last year. 

Offshore running a 25 and a 30 on a flatline real close in the wash had some good action. YFT and a Eyeball that broke loose.

Thanks, Duff. I would be fishing them from a boat. I think my max range (at least until I get more comfortable) would be 15-20 off of barnaget. From looking over some of the charts it seems like there might be some hopeful spots, say the North and South Ridge?

Buy a few in diff colors. Winters here so check the flea markets and shows coming up. Even used and beat up they work fine and come at a good price.

Experiment with colors, troll speeds, depths, etc.

Try changing where ya troll em. Close, far, wide on riggers, etc

Its all a learning curve, you'll find your groove.

Thanks again. I got a Bass Pro Shop GC for Christmas and spent it all about an hour ago on some Stretch's.

I've read a couple posts here about the ridges so, now it's just a matter of doing some research and burning some gas when the time is right.

I have a 23ft WA with 2 or 3 stern rod holders and one each port/starbord holder. and two angled holders from the edge of the hard top.

What do you think the best trolling setup is?

2 flat lines from the stern
2 from the gunwales in outrodder
can I fish the ones from the hardtop and bring the back to the stern cleat with a bungee/clamp?

I am going nuts waiting for the season to get here!!

 The bigger lip on those stretches is what gets them down....i find that fishing them from the 2 stern rod holders gives them the best action rather than off the sides like you would a bunker spoon. Keep the rods vertical when fishing stretches.

Any more than two at a time can be trouble.

make a pass with two. see what happens. if your on fish and get multiple hook ups it could be a mess.

Ok, another question, does not have to be specific to stretch 25's (mine should be here next week)....

Teasers or feathers... Can they be trolled on a spreader or umbrella? Are they all sold with hooks?

Sorry, to be such a trolling virgin. Maybe one of the experienced capt's would be willing to make a post of basic trolling techniques??

Last year I bought myself some quality wood plugs from Mike's Custom Plugs in January.  I spent two months taking them out of my tackle box and smelling them because they looked and smelled so damn good hahahaha!

They have plenty of resistance on them when trolling. Use a pair of rods that can handle them.
