Party Boats in January?
« on: January 01, 2012, 10:01:14 PM »
Anybody know if there are any party boats running in January?  I was hoping to jump on with Capt. Ron on The Fisherman after things calmed down at work, but he's closed up shop for the season.  I got the itch. ;D

Thanks,
Bob

A number of boats in the Point Pleasant, Brielle area will be fishing all winter. Let me know when you want to go and Bob G and I will prob join you. Weekdays preferred.  TT^

What are you looking to fish for Bob?

I was reading Capt. Ron's reports all last month, and dreaming about getting in on the late season striper jigging. But I guess that bite is done. :P  I do remember at least one year when the Gambler did jigging trips into January.  I was hoping that was the case this year.

If the striped ones are out, I wouldn't mind doing some blackfishing. t^

I also never caught a pollack and I hear they fight like crazy and eat jigs! ;D  So, that sounds good too.

Joe & NJ Guy, if you are interested in getting out this week, I'm available Thursday.  Otherwise, Wednesday the 18th would be my next shot at it.  Let me know.

We do fight like crazy, but we much prefer kielbasa and pierogis over jigs  ;D
