We should start with.. Inshore  Or Offshore.. Canyon Etc..  and Vessel / Safety Equipment..

There is early Spring Trolling..

Then Chunking and Jigging..

This will be a great topic t^

Thanks for the offer, Dennis. I wish I had the money. I think it's a season or 2 more with the 1991 boat although, I think I have a close friend nearly talked into a partnership someday. Maybe 25' SeaFox or something.

Some Good starting rods for Bluefin would be Shimano Trevala Or Trevala F series .....nice reels are Canyon HS-18, Avet MXL or Penn Torques....good jigging or chunking without breaking the bank on 60-80lb fish....but its good to have different rods for different size fish that you will see.....the BBC went through this scenario already...and we had the heavy stuff out and still couldnt stop them!

I would start with some sterling tackle spreader bars.. for early spring trolling..

Then Stingo jigs and H4l Jigs for jigging..

Steve's Sterling tackle is out of stock..  and we will have all the jigs this spring t^  We carry this stuff.. because it's what you should be using t^

So a couple to few trolling set ups. and a couple to few jigging set-ups..  your trolling rods can then be used for chunking.  late summer t^

Where do you keep the boat? Don't go crazy buying new stuff there is a lot of good used stuff out there. If your going to troll the TLD 25 and 30 are great and you can jig with them also. Hit the flea markets.

I found some really good deals on Ebay. Brand new daisy chains, birds, machines for over half off of what you'd spend at a store. They should be in tomorrow actually!

Bought a brand new $130 Okuma reel for $28!
