guys that fish SJ beaches what kind of fall for bass did you have

I fish mostly SJ beaches from OC to CMP, usually at least 2x a week and each trip is about 10 to 12 hrs and the last few falls have been slow real slow in Oct I caught 1 keeper and 3 in Nov 2 keepers no shorts and Dec 5 keepers and no shorts also caught a couple of flounder and 1 big blue. How come SJ beaches (from AC ro CMP) does not get many fish in the fall, no where near as many as North NJ or  as many as the spring run
