All depends on where you will be. Close to the beach where there are a ton of other boats, not much of an issue. Offshore with limited/no other boats in the area, what Hotrod said.

I also have a flash light with extra batteries and a knife. Sunscreen, some bottled water and emergency food and your flare kit

Tried to put pop-tarts in there they never made the whole season. Good thing nothing happend late in the season.
