Angela Rose Charters hosted the Phil Muck Happy Hour Fluke & Fireworks Charter. Joining Phil was his wife, Donna, and kids, Jake, Isaac, Matt, and Melissa. Our first couple of drifts were on the west side of the Rt. 35 Bridge with an outgoing tide. While fishing the river, teams were picked and the typical Ice Cream Challenge was on! Capt. Anthony joined the girls team as the Starfish while Deckhand, Kevin, joined Phil and the boys team, the Hammerheads.
In 3 drifts, the river proved to be lifeless and it was easy decision to run outside the Manasquan Inlet. It was a quick ride to the Sea Girt Firing Range which has proved in the past to hold fish. It was not long before we started popping fish up. The Hammerhead jumped out first but the Starfish took a dominating lead and victory by putting double digit marks on the board. Three keeper fluke to 19 inches made the ice box and then to the fillet table.
While the sun fell out of the sky, leaving a breathtaking view, fishing slowed and it was time to hang up the rods and sit back for the Point Pleasant Beach Fireworks! We motored over in front of Jenks, anchored up and watched the exhilarating display of Fireworks!
Everyone, had a great time and their talking about setting up next years trip already!
(Please note that these are not the actual pictues that were taken on the trip. These pictures were taken to replicate the same exciting and breathtaking views that we, here on the Jersey Shore, witness day in and day out. Now granted these are some pretty pictures, what we witnessed on Thursday Night, they don't compare to what we saw. As soon as I get the pictures from Phil & Donna, I will post them up... Thats my legal non scense
