New Ride in the works for Wet Dreams Sportfishing.....
« on: February 18, 2012, 06:27:15 PM »
Well, we spent the better part of the last 4 weeks looking at some other possible rides for the business this year and an offer has been accepted on the one i liked the most....29' Blackfin Sportfisher....motors are practically brand new, tons of cockpit space for 6 people easily...full size cabin with dinette table and couch, fridge microwave stand up head with sink and shower. Offhore equipped ,she has the range and a legendary ,comfortable ride to match. I expect to have the survey and sea trial completed the week of March 4th....as long as that goes well, it will be the new addition to the family.

That looks real nice.  It looks bigger then a 29'.  Do you have more fishing room in this one then your other?

Yes Nick....a ton more room...its 31.5 overall length actually
If i wanted to i could put a square Bonar Fish box in the center of the deck and still have room to fish. That was an important aspect when i was looking. Also the fact of my clients being able to get out of any weather or the sun on a hot day should they need was also important to me in making the decision

that is a perfect decision.. I always like boats that size.  Not crazy huge, but love having the huge cabin and the flying bridge, and the wide beam.  The only thing that kept me from pulling the trigger on something like that was lack of towing ability since I like to move around a bit.  That is a real sweat ride, and good luck with the purchase.

I would love to go for a ride with you for your shake down.  Yes, I noticed the same thing, the same class size boat can have a ton of different layouts.  Im only lagoon front 1 season at this point.  If I decide to stay put and not jump back and forth trailering the boat between Toms River, Manasquan, and Atlantic Highland, I might jump into something of this type of ride in a few years.

Okay, They should be easy to work on. Its amazing how much more a boat with diesels cost. I looked at a 29' Lhures with twin 270hp crusaders, the same motor I have in the Hunter 2, The fuel cost kind of scared me but Im not chartering yet.

 I really love those Blackfins.  t^ t^
