Do you have any gps apps you recommend ???.
Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.

Wx Alert USA - This is the NOAA forcast

Chron Global - Tide app

Buoy Data

Navionics Marine US East

BoatUS

These are the apps I use for boating/fishing.  Most are free. The Navionics is about $15 but well worth the $$$. I think the one you get now is Marine and Lakes US & Canada which covers the entire coast and not just the east coast.

I don't use it since I am a paramedic but, this is a free CPR/First Aid app that most skippers should consider.

Navionics is ridiculously good.  I have it as a backup in case my main GPS ever fails.  It's dead on accurate and extremely detailed.  Well worth the $10 I paid for it.

TideApp
Radar Now
Navionics
Keep in mind that the Navionics will only work when you have service, if you are too far out, it will not work, so if you count on it as a back up to your electronics, make sure you learn how to use your compass.
I've spent most of my life fishing, the rest I've just wasted     <'((((><

Darren, Navionics does work when you are offshore as it is the gps satellites that it works off of and not your phone service.  t^

Just want to varify The Nav. App will work off-shore--Has nothing to do with the app--Has all to do with the device you are using--My Htc Evo 4g works off-shore. If you have a dedicated gps in your device it will work--HINT watch your battery life.

No offence Fishin dude--I did just speak to Nav. on this--FYI--IPHONE 3 Will be varified this week t^
