Pilot - "Here Weego" bringing Stripers 3/25
« on: March 25, 2012, 08:28:28 PM »
Couldn't help ourselves and head to take another run to dunk the bivalves.  Top notch crew: Skunk (welcome home brother); Capt Don Jr (back bayman extradonaire); T-bone (WAAA! I wanna catch a fish and he does!) made the morning roll call.  Honky morning with a little bite in the air.  What happened to short sleeve fishing in March 5hrug  Boy we got spoiled!  Went back again and had 2+ hours of incoming.  Skunk breaks the ice with the first strike and puts a shorty back to swim.  That fish came quick but we had to wait clear through slack to get anything going again aside from one other run off.   By noon and after the second move we found some marks and structure that looked promising.   A tastee sub and a beverage of choice does wonders for bass fishing.   Bang a line goes off.   Tiki holdin onto a nice one.  Then another.  We start barking out the bud light super bowl signature commercial " Here Weego"  and the fishing came in short bursts.  Not a blow out crush but we had a heck of day.  Finished off the balance of the bushel and put 6 nice fish in the penalty pen up to 32".  Returned 2 shorts, and had 6-8 bumps/runoffs.  Everyone contibuted and took home a bag of sweet filets.  All on clams.

A good day of fishing is better than a bad day of fishing. A bad day of fishing is better than a good day of work. That means work sucks!

Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.
