Milstone River Smallmouths
« on: April 08, 2012, 01:05:13 PM »
Last monday i luckly got out of work at noon and decided to do some smallmouth fishing. Me and two of my friends went to the milstone river by the blackwells mill brdige. We were using shiners with a fish finder rig. About ten minutes after our lines got wet i hooked up with one. What a fight smallmouth put up. Finally got him in and it was a nice 2LB fish. Than my buddy hooked up right after me. His fish was about the same size. The action stayed hot i hooked up with another two BIG fish but the hook popped. Well the third times a charm. I hooked up with another one and man was he fighting. Took me ten min to get him in. We estimated the fish at around three pounds. We didnt have a scale. The bite slowed down and we started getting hungry so we left but what a great day i caught my biggest smallmouth to date.
Why can't we fish 5 days a week and work 2!
