First Trip of the season 04/21
« on: April 24, 2012, 12:24:10 PM »
Went out with pipermike early in the morning and caught the incoming tide at the front of the bay, pipermike hooked on to one keeper. We made the decision to go in the back of the bay, made the move and nothing was happening for the first few hours as we were at the end of the tide. Once the tide started moving again the bite was back on. Ended the day with 8 total. Oddly enough there was one fluke that pipermike caught. Measured him for size and he was 19 inches. It was a pretty good day all together. Going back out on friday, hopefully we have the same if not better fishing.

Looking at the map it looks like we were on the edge of the raritan bay/sandy hook bay.

 grtn grtn Welcome
Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.
