We had a few hours to kill yesterday morning, so Tom and I went off on a huntin' bassessiz. Lines off around cracka dawn, and headed out to the tip of the Hook and vicinity. Did not see too much happening, but it "felt" fishy out there... Sure enough within minutes of getting the plugs out we got rocked by some cocktail blues, one after the other, many times two at a time. We bailed them for a an hour and switched it up to see if any bass were under or around them. We made a couple moves, which only resulted in us upsizing to choppers. Same story, except now our arms are tired. Still only like 7AM at this point. We moved down the beach, and now these demons are all slammers, 12-15+ lb fish.
We kept at it for a few more hours and headed in without locating any target fish. I had to do a few sets of dumbell curls on the other bicep when I got home to even up from all the crankin'! Lots of sun and fun; great day (even without finding any bass...)
