well couldn't do much work today due to the weather.  Just happened to be in the vacinity of effingers...... and since planning on flukin on sunday thought i'd pop in and take a look.  Went to replenish some lost jigs and found that they are sold out of some items and running low on others....guess a lot of people have the itch

still managed to walk out with some 6 oz SPROs, assorted sinkers and even picked up a few stretch 25s and two other lures.  Before i knew it my wallet was 90 bucks lighter

I will say this area (somerset county) is desperately needing a Dick's Sporting Goods nearby.  Effinger's is really the only place to go in the area and their prices are damn near criminal.  Hell, the clip on line counter I bought was $3 more than Rapala's suggested retail price.  Their Stretch 25's are $4 more than most B&T's around the Raritan.  Some competition in the area would really be a good thing.

I think there is a Dick's in Woodbrigde too... off 9...  I stink with directions  .... but I can look for it if someone in this area needs...where did they put the new one in Union?? I work off Rahway Ave... would be cool if I could hit that one instead when I leave work...the one I'm talking about, the traffic is sometimes unbearable

There's a dicks is the Woodbridge mall not far from the parkway.  The dicks in Princeton is better in my opinion.  Items were a I'll scattered but overall I think the fishing selection was better.  I tend to use The Tackle Box on 36 when I go fishing but when I'm in Florida (right now), I go to dicks cause there are coupons for $10 off $50 everywhere.

I got to efingers to look but the only things I've bought there lately were a couple butterfly jigs just to test out and they were the only place I found that had them and was not out of the way. The price wasn't  that bad on them.  They were notorious for high priced everything but I noticed that's coming down a bit.  If you really want to see a candy shop and lighten up that wallet, check out Tackle Direct down the parkway around egg harbor.  Decent pricing, great customer service and a vast selection of products.  Just make sure you have the wife's/gf's blessing before you go. Lol
