Angela Rose Charters hosted Bob Clair and friends out of Philly, Pa for some fluke action on the Angela Rose II. After 4 days of stormy weather, mother nature took her toll on the ocean which made for bad fishing conditions. South winds clipped at 10 knots and a 4-6 foot Easterly ground swell mixed in with dirty colored water gave us a very slow bite. With fluke fishing as slow as it was today, we thought it was best to pick away at some sea bass to rods bending. That lasted until the afternoon and then everything fell apart. For the last couple of hours and numerous locations, the bite simply did not happen. Steve boated the only fluke and that was his personal best at 7 pounds 7 ounces. Another dozen sea bass kept the lone fluke company in the ice box. The weather and sea conditions are going to improve over the next several days, the bite will as it does.
