First post - with a fishing report
« on: May 19, 2012, 05:20:53 PM »
Hi everyone!  I've been a frequent visitor to the site and finally decided to register.   clp
Went out yesterday and Blues are still plentiful near Cliffwood Beach.  Hitting metal - spoons, deadly dicks, ava jigs...if it was shiny, they were all over it.  No cocktail blues though - all pretty big.  We released all but one - since we have some frozen from last week.  Also we had only one fluke - but it was a keeper.  Saw 3 guys who waded out up to their chests just hammering the blues for hours.  The had to be at least 150 yards out - but were having a blast. We were on a boat and tried to be respectful and not drift into their action.  Water was in the 50s still...waiting the the fluke bite to go crazy!  Tight lines! t^

grtn and thanks for the report
Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.

Thanks for the report..  TT^
My Biggest worry is that when I'm dead and gone, my wife will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it.

Fishing, with me, has always been an excuse to drink in the daytime.

Fishing Sandy Hook and anywhere I can get on a boat.

My biggest fear is when I die my wife sells all of my fishing tackle for what she thinks I paid for it!

Thanks for the welcomes!  I hope to be able to fish more and get some more successful reports.  Not complaining, any fish is better than getting skunked.  Also looking to get out and do some crabbing soon.
