I got skunked....a few nibbles that were stealing the end of my squid (both whole and strips with a stinger hook). Was fishing 4 & 6 oz bucktails in the am (around 1030) with a teaser up the line. gulp on both hooks. I did have a bluefish steal my gear over on flynns knoll. In the afternoon was fishing hi-lows again with gulps/squid with anywhre from 8-12 ounces.
My father on the other hand was utilizing a single hook with the tried and true killie/squid combo and he picked up a bluefish, two shorts, and a keeper just shy of 18"...the lowered limit actually gave us a keeper this year, he was just short...a throwback last year.
Bottom line, lousy day of fishing but another good day on the water.
